Ecotravelers Lends a Hand in Protecting the Philippine Tarsier’s Home

In a meaningful step toward sustainable tourism, Ecotravelers Travel & Tours, a proud eco-tourism advocate based in Bohol, donated heavy-duty garbage bins to the Philippine Tarsier Sanctuary in Corella on December 1, 2024.

This initiative aligns with Ecotravelers’ mission to help preserve Bohol’s natural beauty while supporting local conservation efforts. The sanctuary, managed by the Philippine Tarsier Foundation, Inc., serves as a critical refuge for the endangered Philippine tarsier (Tarsius syrichta)one of the world’s smallest primates.

“We believe that protecting our environment starts with the little things,” said a representative from Ecotravelers. “By helping improve the sanctuary’s waste management system, we’re contributing to a cleaner, safer space for both tarsiers and the people who care for them.”

The sanctuary team expressed sincere appreciation, recognizing the donation as a practical yet impactful contribution to their conservation goals.

This collaboration underscores the power of shared environmental responsibility. For Ecotravelers, it’s another step in proving that eco-conscious tourism isn’t just possible it’s essential.
