Siargao

Siargao is a tear-drop shaped island in the Philippine Sea. It is located in the province of Surigao del Norte, approximately 800 kilometers southeast of Manila. The island has a land area of approximately 437 square kilometers. Siargao is best known for its reliable surfing conditions all year round, which have earned it the title of the “Surfing Capital of the Philippines”. The island is composed of 48 islands and islets, and is politically divided into nine municipalities.
